Avenues offers substance abuse assessment and counseling to adolescents, adults and their families.
All Clients are assessed for proper intervention strategies at the beginning of treatment. Assessments will help to determine the severity of need and direction of treatment. History of abuse, cooperation with treatment, mental health issues, support options, and practical issues are addressed.
Our therapists may work with dependent individuals in order to affect positive change in their individual and relational behaviors. Therapy focuses on the root causes of substance abuse issues providing insight, coping skills, and tools for change.
Family Therapy engages clients with their families so that the family may better cope with the issues of their loved one, as well as become stronger supports during their journey toward recovery. Sessions explore family barriers, co-dependency, unresolved issues, anger and healing, and the impact of addiction on the family.
The group dynamic provides a strong vehicle for healing and change. Groups offered consist of:

An Important component to assessment, treatment and relapse prevention, Avenues to Wellness offers drug screens in each of its offices. Breathalyzers and urine screens are available for multiple substances to include:
- Amphetamines and Methamphetamine
- THC (Marijuana)
- Synthetic THC (K2/Spice)
- Bath Salts
- Phencyclidine (PCP)
- MDMA (Ecstacy)
